Answer the following questions to help you understand the meaning of these vocabulary words.

    A pervasive attitude in Cape Elizabeth is that a person has to go to a good college to have a successful life.

    Study habits correlate to a students test grades.

    Create a newspaper headline using some form of coalesce or amalgamate.
    Cape and South Portland coalesce due to a lack of money in the school systems.

    Use the word permeate to describe a cooking smell.
    The smell of chocolate chip cookies permeated the kitchen.

    Use disseminate in a sentence to describe information getting out.
    The news of the celebrity's death quickly disseminated throughout the world.

    What is the difference between disseminate and diffuse?
    Disseminate is more about the spreading of information whereas diffuse is used to describe the spreading of a tangible object.

    6) Disseminate is generally use for spreading information, while diffuse is more like spreading physical objects.

    Disseminate is the growth and spread of news or a belief. Diffuse is to lessen and spread as a result of lessening or settling.

    6.) Disseminate is to spread and diffuse is to spread out. Information of a disease would disseminate, while the disease itself would diffuse throughout the population.
